Ono sadr\u017ei do 30% proteina i oko 50% ugljenih hidrata, a ima i vitamine A, B\u2081, B\u2082 i C. Za ishranu se koristi kako mlado nedovoljno zrelo seme koje je ukusno i lako se kuva tako i zrelo. Konzervira se mlad koji se tako\u0111e mo\u017ee i osu\u0161iti ili zamrznuti.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 14pt; color: #000000;\">Nakon berbe zrna gra\u0161ka nama ostaju stablo i list koji se mogu koristiti kao sto\u010dna hrana, najbolje u sve\u017eem obliku. Kao i svaka mahunarka zahvaljuju\u0107i kvr\u017ei\u010dnim bakterijama zemlji\u0161te ostavlja oboga\u0107eno azotom . Rano napu\u0161ta parcelu pa ostavlja dosta prostora za obavljanje postrne setve.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 14pt; color: #000000;\">Gra\u0161ak po\u010dinje da klija na temperaturi preko 4\u00b0 C, a optimuma je 25\u00b0C. U vreme cvetanja i formiranja ploda optimalna temperatura je 15-18\u00b0C , a za vreme nalivanja i sazrevanja zrna od 18-20\u00b0C. Rast biljke se zaustavlja na temperaturama preko 30\u00b0C.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 14pt; color: #000000;\">Ranoj proizvodnji odgovaraju laka, peskovita zemlji\u0161ta. Na istu parcelu se mo\u017ee vratiti nakon \u010detiri do pet godina. Dobri predusevi su strna \u017eita ,kukuruz , suncokret, krompir. Nakon skidanja preduseva, a ako su to strna \u017eita uraditi lju\u0161tenje strni\u0161ta na dubinu 12-15 cm, a tokom jeseni uraditi osnovnu obradu na 30-35 cm. Pred kraj zime zatvoriti zimku brazdu i izvr\u0161iti ravnanje zemlji\u0161ta.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 14pt; color: #000000;\">Pravilo je da sepreporuke za koli\u010dine i na\u010din primene \u0111ubriva dobiju nakon obavljene agrohemijske analize zemlji\u0161ta. Okvirno potrebe u hranivima za gra\u0161ak su slede\u0107e azota(N) 40-60 kg\/ha , fosfora (P\u2082O\u2085) od 60-80 kg\/ha kao i K\u2082Ood 40-70 kg\/ha.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 14pt; color: #000000;\">Gra\u0161ak se seje ,ako su u pitanju ve\u0107e povr\u0161ine po etapama \u2013sukcesivno ( vi\u0161e sorti sa razli\u010ditom du\u017einom vegetacije) kako bi se produ\u017eio period \u017eetve. Setva se obavlja naj\u010de\u0161\u0107e na razmak od 18 cm (od 12-20 cm) ili \u0161irokoredno na razmak izme\u0111u redova od 30-50 cm. rastojanje u redu je od 3-5 cm. Mo\u017ee se setva obaviti i u pantljike tako \u0161to se dva do pet redova seje uskoredona 18 cm, pa se ostavlja prazan prostor od 50 cm. Setvu obaviti na dubinu 3-5 cm. Optimalan broj biljaka je od 110-130 po m\u00b2. Va\u017eno je obezbediti setvu na ujedna\u010denu dubinu i ravnomerni raspored semena u redu.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 14pt; color: #000000;\">Navodnjava se po ako je mogu\u0107e pred cvetanje, a ako ima potrebe i u drugo vreme.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 14pt; color: #000000;\">Berba se obavlja ru\u010dno i ma\u0161inski. Na manjim povr\u0161inama je to ru\u010dno i berba se obavlja u dva do tri maha stim \u0161to se prvo beru donje mahune , zatim iz sredine i na kraju sa vrha.
